Parents Teachers Meeting - Oct 2018

Last month, the students at the not-for-profit SCIP ECO (Equality, Compassion, Opportunity) School sat for their first term exam. You can read more about it here.

And this month, they got the grades! Our teachers interacted with the parents as much as possible to ensure that they know that their children are doing well and are on the path to success. If a child needs special help with his/her studies, our teachers are always there to be consulted.

When it comes to education, the parents often forget that it is not just the teacher’s duty. The African proverb resonates well:

It takes a village to raise a child.

So, education doesn’t stop when a child steps out of the school. It continues at home when parents give them time to learn and when they do their homework. It continues in the street when the child observes the way the world functions. And it continues in every little interaction that the child comes across or hears.

So, let’s take a look at the village (we mean Sector Four Slum in Faridabad, India) that’s helping us to educate these bright kids. Here are a few pictures from the PTM (Parents Teachers Meet):

We would like to thank all the donors who helped us sponsor education. Your generosity and kindness fuel the projects at our education charity. Thank you so much.
